We have purchased 8 homes in our lifetime and this was the first experience we had with Veterans United. It was undoubtedly the best experience we ever had. Some lenders look for ways to get more money out of you, however, our lending specialist worked throughout the process to get us the best possible rate and deal for our loan. When we closed the loan, the closer was amazed at the rate we had been given. Everything went smoothly with the loan and we closed exactly on time. Great job!
The whole process was super quick and relatively simple and Lindsey was always available to answer my questions.
The only thing I would have liked was the choice to roll all the extra fees etc into my loan (aka my loan is slightly more ($6k) than the price I agreed to pay for the house). I personally don't mind as I plan to pay my loan off early anyway, but it may make a difference for some people in the long run. It would have been nice to at least had it explained to me that that's what was happening, as it created some confusion at the end with getting money back vs owing some $$ at closing (which is the norm for most people).
