The team I have worked with has been amazing. This was my 4th or 5th time working with Kat and her team I believe. Everytime they have been top tier with communication and expectations. But everything has to have a low spot, and for me it was the app/website and the fact I needed to exit and retry several times to successfully log in each time.So long story short top tier team and people. Website has some hiccups that could be ironed out.
Veterans United? YES! Thanks thanks for everything team... but I have to give a special shout out to Tiffany Wallace. She went above and beyond.
We have worked with Veterans United twice so far. Both times they were phenomenal! Communication was great, everything was clear, and they made it easy. Lily and Dawn are life savers!!
I'm very glad I chose Veterans United to purchase my first home. The whole home buying process seemed very overwhelming but they somehow made it understandable in bite size pieces. I was super anxious and lost at the beginning and they held my hand at each step. With their insurance brokerage, I found cheaper auto, home, and flood insurance.
The entire Veterans United team made the refinance process seamless and streamlined. Would recommend and will select again in the future.
All the staff was very helpful,
Great experience
Albert and crew have been awesome. This was third or fourth time. Now attempting to buy a new home with veteran united and Alberto as my primary officer. Everyone has been top notch and the best help this whole process, each time even though it didnt work out the first couple.

There were some rough patches when things looked like they weren't going to work out. Overall, it was great having a team of direct contacts to ease things, but it also sometimes felt like I was being pulled in several directions at once.
We’ve used VU twice and a smaller lender once for our three total times we’ve purchased a home using the VA Loan. Will highly recommend them over and over as we haven’t seen many other lenders top their customer service and support throughout the process. We always feel informed and like we’re part of the entire process during each step, whereas other lenders keep to themselves while working on things behind the scenes. Grateful for VU and will always recommend them for VA Loans.
Erinn was super helpful throughout the entire process.
Rebecca was the best agent a person could ask for!!
The rest of the crew was outstanding as well
The process was wonderful with the exception of our loan coordinator lindsey. There was poor communication, which caused delays and confusion.
Everything about out loan process was poorly done. At the start they should have asked for my husbands COE for his VA loan for preapproval. They instead didn’t ask for it until a week to close. This caused us to miss our closing date. We are first time buyers and didn’t know all the questions to ask. We repeatedly asked what else was needed and were told nothing, only to be asked for more later. A checklist at the start would have been much more productive. After switching to an FHA loan we experienced the same problem. Again would have missed our closing date if we hadn’t found Sarah. There were so many resources we weren’t given, questions we weren’t given correct answers to all which could have avoided a most of this. We felt continually pushed aside by Jake and his team. I would never again trust him or his team.
Response from Veterans United
Hi James,
I’m really sorry to hear how frustrating and discouraging this process was for you. As first-time homebuyers, you should have felt clearly guided from the very beginning, especially when it came to important items like a Certificate of Eligibility and understanding what would be needed for preapproval.
Learning that documents were requested late in the process and that it impacted your closing date is concerning. Being told nothing else was needed, only to later be asked for more, would understandably make you feel unprepared and stressed. You deserved clearer expectations and better communication throughout.
I’m also troubled to hear that you felt pushed aside. That’s never how anyone should feel during such an important milestone. I truly appreciate you sharing this feedback, and I would welcome the opportunity to review your experience more closely.
I’m here to listen and would welcome a direct conversation. You can reach me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, with after-hours messages returned the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
